The Savannah Southern Half Marathon and Fleet Feet 5K start at 7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, in Forsyth Park. The race returns this year with a new course: the half marathon now starts and finishes in Forsyth Park and runs through Grayson Stadium, home of the Savannah Bananas, according to the organizer, Motiv Sports. Expect road closures across downtown, the Victorian District and the streets around Daffin Park from early morning. The organizer says every street reopens by noon.

Yes. The organizer’s event schedule lists the expo on Friday, Nov. 13, and both races on Saturday, Nov. 14, and registration is open. With the Savannah Bridge Run canceled for 2026 because of work on the Talmadge Memorial Bridge, this is the Savannah road race to plan around this fall.

Times and schedule

From the organizer’s event schedule:

When What Where
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13 Race expo and packet pickup The Venues at Trustees’ Garden, Kehoe Iron Works Campus, 660 E. Broughton St.
5:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 Prepaid race-day packet pickup opens Forsyth Park
7 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 Half marathon and Fleet Feet 5K start Forsyth Park, Drayton and East Huntingdon streets
8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 14 Finish festival Forsyth Park

The schedule also lists a second half marathon entry at 7:30 a.m. without saying what it is. The finish line, at Drayton Street and Waldburg Street, stays open until noon.

The course

The half marathon is 13.1 miles. It leaves Forsyth Park, runs through the downtown and the older neighborhoods, passes through Grayson Stadium and comes back to finish in Forsyth Park, the organizer’s half marathon page says. The course map is a download on that page.

  • Aid stations with water and Gatorade at miles 1.9, 4.1, 5.9, 7.7, 9.5, 11.2 and 12, each with portable restrooms; an energy gel at mile 9.5.
  • Time limit: a 17-minute-mile pace, or 3:43 for the half. The organizer says the city permitted the course on the condition that the main road stays closed only until 11 a.m. Runners who fall behind are redirected and finish unsupported.
  • The 5K (3.1 miles, walker-friendly) loops Forsyth Park and joins the half field on Bull Street, per the 5K page.

One point is unclear on the organizer’s own site. Its 5K page still says the 5K finishes in Daffin Park, with shuttles back to the start, while its race notes say both distances begin and end in Forsyth Park this year. 5K runners should confirm with the organizer at info@southernhalf.com; we will update this page when the site is corrected.
